The introduction of Sprint mobile communications to the South Plains area brought Alamosa PCS to our firm with a desire for a facility which would dynamically introduce this service to its potential customers.  As the regional carrier of Sprint PCS's national service, Alamosa was entering an already saturated cellular telephone market.  The triangular site located along the south Loop 289 access road was an invitation to create a facility which would be both a visible icon and an introduction for the company.  Requirements of the facility included three different types of functions: retail showroom, sales offices, and a complex switching room.
